I woke up that morning. I was nine years old at the time. I walked to school. The cool autumn breeze and fresh autumn smell made the morning beautiful. As the school day continued, many other students were being checked out by their parents. I started to get worried. It was odd for three students in a class to be checked out in one day. Then, a teacher was crying in the hall. I knew that something was wrong. My innocent nine year old mind was to be changed. As drama class continued they called my name on the loudspeaker. Since my mother was a busy attorney and my father worked in Long Island, I knew something was definitely out of place. I walked down the stairs ans saw a sea of parents picking up their students. My favorite teacher was there. I asked her “what’s going on?”
“They bombed the world trade center” she replied. At that very moment my world, your world, the world had been changed forever. I was in shock. Who was “they?” How did they bomb it? I was so saddened. As a student in New York City, the pain was worse. I saw my mom and she explained everything. My stomach grew sick. She dropped me off at my friends house because she was needed in the court. As I got to his house his mother and him were watching T.V. I saw the second tower collapse. For that very moment, I lost all thought and my mind evaporated into the air. At that moment I forgot who I was, where I was, and knew, I just knew, nothing was ever going to be the same…
