Recalling that fateful day, I first read about it at around 10-11pm (Australian EST) from postings on the website www.airliners.net. The story was spontaneously covered by CNN and BBC soon. Thinking back… the image of a dark object penetrating the South Tower was absolutely shocking.

The horrifying events hit hard as it was about a month prior to 9/11 that I had visited NY; shopped at the WTC mall, had lunch in the World Financial Center Winter Gardens, looking up at the Twin Towers through the glass dome.

It was truly a sad day for humanity.
