I’m a guard at a nuclear power station. I was on duty that day. I didn’t hear anything directly. All I heard were bits and pieces of this andd that. We immediately went into a high alert checking all over the station, escpecially the fenceline. As I heard the story, I was in disbelief. “Couldn’t have happened… impossible.” When I left that day, I had the next four days off. I was glued to the tv, as I had been when JFK was assasinated. At the beginning of the Friday, I had become angry. I wanted to do something…anything. I wanted to go down to NYC and help with the clean up.
