I remember every single detail about that day, I was at school in 8 grade math class. I remember doing an equation, solving for x… it was a boring day and I was waiting for class to finish. First class and I was ready to go home. Everything was going fine… we had the door closed and we were all paying attention. Someone opened the door and it was the assistant principal he asked to talk to the teacher outside. It must’ve been about 2 minutes when he came back and told everyone to put everything away. He said we were going to run a drill and everyone had to be silent. I put my stuff away and waited. He closed the door and told everyone that for no reason the door should be open. We were in the room for about 10 minutes when someone knocked on the door. It was 2 students, we let them in and stayed put. The principal came over and told us what happen, we were all in shock. He told us to turn the TV on and stay inside. What we saw in TV was unbelievable, the saddest event I have ever seen, I cried. This was when the first plane hit, we didn’t know. I saw the second plane hit. I had no words. I was in shock. I wanted to hide in a corner and not see or hear anything. I wanted this to be over. I turned around to see if anyone was watching. Everyone was quiet and no word was spoken and no sound was heard. We stayed there for about an hour and half and they told us if we had anyone to pick us up we could call them… my mom came over and I was taken home. I haven seen so many people cry… the rest is history. History that will be forever remembered.
