Well, when I woke up early that morning, I wasn’t feelin too good so I decided I should stay home from school for the day. My parents had called my gram so she could stop in n check up on me to make sure I wasn’t playing hookie or anything. After I woke up from enjoying my sleep, I went into the kitchen to get some water and my mom was home on her lunch break, and tears were running down her eyes. Her terrified eyes showed me right away that something wasn’t right. I asked her what was going on and she just responded with ignorance.

I then looked at the TV and I saw what happend. They were showing a plane crash into the World Trade Tower over and over again. At first I was confused because I though pilots had professional training…and that they would atleast crash the plane somewhere else where millions of people are around. I then understood that terrorists were aboard the plane and they had hijacked it and crashed it where alot of innocent people were working. I sat on the side of my mom while she sat there in tears, asking why this is happening. I myself wondered why someone would do such a horrible thing.

I was thankful that none of our family was in those towers or planes. My sister had went to New York City a week before this all happened just to visit the Empire State Building and the World Trade Centers. We have a picture of my sister with the two towers standing tall behind her…but now that picture cannot be retaken. Many things had went through my mind that day…like what might all my friends be doing in school and if they even know about it yet, and if many bad things were coming in the future because of this incident. All I know is that I hope that nothing like this would take away the pride and honor of all the Americans. Ever since that day my dad used to have a flag on his truck…but that changed when it broke off and hit someone elses windshield, but we still love our country and we always will.
