A mothers heart that never faltered or caved

A fathers voice that was steady and brave
Good friends and lovers that nourished a soul
And created a human of crystalline gold

Together they made a solitary man
Whose country’s fate lay in his steady hand
He took on the challenge of his racing heart
And turned the word “man” into a work of art

He allowed us to hear his mighty nation sigh
And imagine his mothers eternal cry
For his life ceased to gain
As he stood proud and took back plane

He called to arms his fellow men
Who would never see their Loves eyes again
Together they stood strong and fast
And took the leap that would prove their last

They fought the tyranny of an ill-fated few
That had managed to overthrow his proud crew
And so to save the numberless others
These men went down as a Band Of Brothers

And with this we saw many heroes born
Then instantly die for humanity to mourn
Leaving us to humbly thank those he knew
For his grace as he fell from skies of blue
