I was 8 months pregnant and on bedrest with a two year old son at home on that fateful day. My son and I were watching the disney channel on television when my mom called, I didn’t have the phone near me so I let the machine pick it up and all I heard over my son’s noise was “…CNN …history in the making” So I turned on the news and I yelled when I say what was happening. My husband who works nights and was sleeping came running out because he thought I was having contractions again, all I could do was point at the television with one hand and cover my mouth with the other! I have a dear friend who lives in New Jersey about 10 minutes out of NYC and it took me almost a week to get ahold of him and when I finally got a chance to talk to him he told me that he watched the second plane hit the WTC from the roof of the parking garage at his work. I am still in shock that this happened to us.
