I was at work that day. I work in a Pet Cemetery. A co-worker called to say a plane hit the World Trade Center. I called my husband and had him turn on tv. He called shortly after to say another one hit the other tower and it was on purpose. All I had at work was a radio. All the stations carried the same story. All I could hear from the newscaster’s was panic and grief, in their voices. What I heard did not prepare me for what I saw when I arrived home at 5 p.m. I could not believe what I saw, nor what I was feeling inside. I tried to video tape the news stories from tv, off 2 seperate units. The eerie thing is nothing taped, but they worked properly, as I tried to tape something else and they worked fine. Then I remembered a friend who had traveled to NY City for a meeting. She had even said she didi not want to go. Where was she? Was she alright? I was in a panic until Friday the 14th, when I heard her company had put her on a train bound for home. To this day, we talk every day on the phone. She has since relocated to Georgia, but I will always live in Upstate New York and I WILL ALWAYS REMEBER and I WILL NEVER, EVER FORGET!
