It was a typical day at school just learning and all. We had no TV in our classroom and suddenly some girl came in to tell us that a plane crashed into the World Trade Center towers. I was confused. Everyone ran to the next room to see what was going on in the news broadcast. There was smoke comming out of one of the towers, my assumption was that it was a malfunction in the plane and just that the pilot lost control and hit the tower. Another tragic accident where a plane had mechanical failures. We watched and all of a sudden you see this little dot racing to one of the towers. It was crazy and surreal when I saw the little dot just crashed into the second tower. Confused again.. did I just witness that? Did another plane JUST crash into the second tower? How is it possible 2 planes just crashed into the towers? Unreal. It was reality. Planes hit the towers and it was clear that it was not an accident. The whole school was talking about it, it was on everyones minds and mouths. Lunch time came around and our television screens had the horror still displayed. Suddenly one tower collapsed. I just saw what happened and still couldn’t get it through my head. Through out the day it was nothing but interesting discussions on what just happened. Teachers and students had loved ones in New York and were trying to get in contact with them. Some couldn’t get through, it was horrible. My memory was so clouded because of what happened, there was too much motion and information to handle. I do remeber though that basically I was in class thinking about how this is the most unreal that I have ever witnessed.
