I was a college student at Fredonia State in Western New York. On that morning, I had decided to get up early to start running. I woke up around 7:00am and drove around to map out my course. I couldn’t help but remark what a beautiful late summer day it was. –65 degrees, not a cloud in the sky. It was truly a perfect day. After my run, I returned home to the dorm around 8:30am. I turned the TV on to Good Morning America and decided to lay down in bed for a little while before getting ready for class. I remember seeing them cut to the shot of the WTC with smoke billowing out. I thought that a pilot must have lost control of an airplane. Terrorism was not even a consideration at first. After seeing the second plane hit, it was obvious that this was no accident. This day was far from perfect.
