Before I start…… R.I.P. All that perished 9/11. Kept in the hearts of a million people, the fallen will always be alive and with us. God bless all that witnessed.

Sept 11 2001 I was in Anacostia SE DC about 13 miles east of the Pentagon. I was doing HVAC work on the 3rd story of a project building. I heard on the TV in the apartment I was in that a plane hit the WTC. No one in DC had any idea at the time, until a huge blast shook the ground we all stood on. Everyone stormed around with no idea what we had just felt, soon later knowing it was the pentagon. People were crying knowing they had relatives working in there at the time… We all watched jets fly out of Andrews Air Force base and we could all see the smoke from the Pentagon; DC was under a state of alert. All non DC residents had to leave the city soon as they could. We took a back way out of the city and rushed home to be with our families.
