Lived in NY on 9.11.01?: No
Knew someone who perished?: No

When 9/11 occurred I was in the first days of my first grade year. My father and I left for class early that day so he could get me off to class as quick as he could. I remember sitting in class that day excited as could be because I was in first grade. Then my teacher walked in with a TV that was on a rolling cart. She put the news on and told us a plane had crashed into the building. After that, all I remember is that my dad had to come pick me up from school because from what I remember we had an early release. Once my dad had picked me up he informed my sister and I all about what had happened in New York that day because neither of us knew of the World Trade Center or what had really happened. The rest of that day I remember watching ongoing news coverage with my family. As a first grader, I still had much confusion to what was actually going on but I did know that whatever was happening was bad.
