I work at a car dealer in Mitchell,SD. I was just checking into work and walked through our showroom. In our showroom we have a television. I was walking by and noticed something very peculiar was going on. So I stopped and watched a while. I had noticed that one of the World Trade Centers was on fire. All of a sudden out of the corner of the screen a second plane flew into the second tower. Well at this time I figured something was not right here. I Had to get back to work in the detail shop which is in a different building. We didn’t have a tv but we did have a radio. But to me a radio wasn’t good enough. I knew something terribly wrong was going on and I wanted to see it. So we had talked our boss into going to our rentall store and getting a tv. The rentall store actually gave us one for free. Well we started watching some more and had found out that the Pentagon had also been hit.

By now I had started to cry and if you knew me I don’t cry very easy, but when innocent people start dying for nothing. I think that was a bunch of “B-S”. So the day went on always epecting something to happen where we live. It became one of the longest days of my life. So from the heart of a South Dakotan this is how we saw it. To all the surviors may God bless you and may you know that even in South Dakota your pain was felt.
