Lived in NY on 9.11.01?: No
Knew someone who perished?: No

I was working on a construction site, and having a busy day. My brother was out with a bad back, and I was working on a house that was closing at the end of the week. My painter said his wife called him, and that a plane hit the WTC, a few seconds later my brother called me with the same info. My site trailer had a t.v. and i went there to turn it on, within a minute of me turning it on I watched the second plane hit the building, and said to my brother on the phone “We are at war, and I would not be suprised if Washington gets hit next”. A few minutes later the screen split to the Pentagon and sure enough I was right. I had a friend that lived and worked around the WTC, and I called other friends to see if they heard from him, and they did not. I had a bad feeling, and 3 days later I found out that I was right. He died, unrelated to the 9-11 attacks. It was a week that changed our world, and as I sat home at night crying for my friend, his family, and the rest of us that felt helpless I had a revelation… We are not in control of anything in our lives other than how we treat each other. We will never know the truth behind what happened on 9-11-01, and all the theories in the world will not bring back those who were lost that day, or those of us who will never be the same again.
