I’ll never forget, I was in my fourth grade class room. Mrs Burn’s class. We were doing a english lesson. The book was purple with a lion on the front. The principle came over the intercom and told teachers to turn the tv onto our schools “news network”. Our principle explained the best she could of what happened. We were all scared, and I remember seeing my friend Anastasia leaving her classroom next door crying, her uncle was in the towers. We turned to the news and I remember teachers coming in and out upset and some crying.
Alot of kids got pulled out of school early that day, and since I didn’t I didn’t think “it” would effect me. After school I went to chorus practice and I remember my mom coming in and pulling me out of practice early and upset. I asked her if she had heard about what happened, and started telling her like she hadn’t even heard. When we got home she was crying and calling all of our family in Jersey, making sure they wern’t in the city that day, or even worse in the towers.
I didn’t know at the time that the Pentagon had been hit, and that my aunt was inside. I remember my mom getting a call that someone had talked to my aunt, and how happy she was.
