I was in my History 7 class at Greenbrier Middle School in Chesapeake VA, when our principal came in and told us that planes had crashed into the WTC and Pentagon. I remember thinking they were little private planes, not jumbo jets. I also remember thinking that this could not be real. I did not really believe it until I was driving back up to Albany NY in November and saw the new NYC skyline. I still don’t fully believe it happened, and I won’t until I can actually see ground zero in person.
