I was driving to work, listening to the radio when they announced that the first plane had hit the first Tower. At first, I thought they were talking about a fictional story. To tell the truth, I wasn’t paying much attention to the story on the radio. Tthe full impact of what really happened didn’t hit me until I got to the office and people were running past my desk asking me if I’d heard what happened. Once we had all crammed into one of the meeting rooms and saw first hand the destruction of the first Tower and then the second, I couldn’t believe my eyes! It looked like something out of a Bruce Willis “Die Hard” movie! Grief, confusion and disbelief overcame me and I became nauseous. “God help us…” were my words. I felt so helpless…
