I woke up on September 11,2001 to my mother calling me telling me to turn on the TV. Every channel on my local networks was reporting on the planes and it didn’t hit me until I saw the buildings I was in shock.

The first thing I thought of was my son who was in town with my aunt and uncle and I had to get to him. I live in Casper, Wyoming and the roads usually have a bunch of cars on em but that day the world stopped turning because there weren’t any cars on the roads.

Now I am a very emotional person so I called every family member I know that was in the army navy and marines national guard and so on. I watched I horror as the second plane hit and as the towers fell then the pentagon. Who could be sick enough to kill all those people? September 11 2001 will be a day of prayer and togetherness I had not seen my father in 9 years and had not talked to my mother in two. September 11th I was a scared little girl without a clue of reality and how mean people were I thank the president of the United States for giving me the strength and wisdom to carry on and be safe enough to sleep at night.
