It was a cold muggy day, one of those ones when you goto a funeral, I woke up and left for school like any other day, alothough it wasn’t! I heard yelling and screaming by frightened students and teachers, it was as though there was a murder in the school! I got to class and the teacher explained to us what happened, I had never heard of the towers and asked to goto the library to look it up and watch the event on tv, usually she would of cursed us of the thought but she let me go. I walked into the library with people watching the tv in horror, the towers burning looked fimiliar and the site was so horrific i could only stand a few minutes of it before I woke into tears, thinking of all those dieing, the people around me only thought of themseleves and were asking if we could have the day off, this left me in disgust! I looked up the towers in the encyclopedias and books of nyc and famous usa structures, I knew i had seen them before, in a painting and on tv on spin city and friends. Now whenever I watch those shows and even the movie cruel intentions and I see the towers I pray for those who died in the towers, and for their families to get through this tradgety because I know they will never forget that day. My cousin’s fiancee died in the towers, she had just found out the day before that she was pregnant. Her daughter, Hope, named for the hope of a safe and happy life, was born July 9th 2002. We love her with all our hearts and the good thing is she looks like her father so we know his spirit lives on inside her, and we are sightly glad that he knew he was to be a father before his death, insetad of dieing and never knowing.
