I was at work on 9/11 having a good old time. I was doing my work, listening to my radio, and joking around with my co-workers. I was listening to the Johnny Dare Morning Show when they cut in at the first plane crashing into the tower. I kept on my headphones and continued working and listening and then they stated the 2nd plane hit. At that point, I took off my headphones, unplugged them, and turned up the radio so everyone else at work could hear what was going on. A few minutes into the broadcast, I asked my superviser if I could go home and get my tv. She had another co-worker run with me to get it and some batteries for our radios. When I got back, we set the tv up in the middle of the office and we all just watched in awe for the rest of the day. One of the girls I worked with was on the verge of hysterics because her cousin (who she was very close to) worked in one of the towers. She luckily had been on vacation so was ok. On my way home I saw three little girls standing on the sidewalk in front of their home with a huge sign that said GOD BLESS THE USA!! and they were singing at the top of their lungs. I’ll never forget those little girls for as long as I live. They had me in tears.
