I was staying at my sister’s new house in Andover, Hampshire, England, (U.K.)

I had been working upstairs, about 2:10pm (BST) I decided to get some late lunch. While the kettle was boiling, I turned on the TV. At first I thought I was watching a movie, then I noticed the station ID was BBC News.

A few seconds later I saw the second plane hit the WTC. I later found that this was not live, but recorded a few minutes earlier. I turned on the radio in the kitchen and tuned to Radio 5, they were broadcasting live news from New York too.

I went back to the TV and flicked through the stations, most were showing live or recently recorded pictures from New York.

I phoned my sister at work (she had recently started a new job in Andover) and told her what was happening. Then I phoned my brother and my mother to tell them what was happening too.

A few minutes later the news reported that a third plane had crashed, this time in Washington DC. When I heard that it was the Pentagon that had been hit, I called my sister again as she works for the UK MoD.

A few minutes later, a lady came to the door delivering Yellow Pages, I called her in to see what was happening, I also spoke to the neighbour next door to tell him. Most of the people I spoke to that hour heard the news first from me.

I went back to the TV and continued to watch, shocked and stunned for the next few hours. Keith
