The day this tragedy happened I was sitting in an enrichment class at school. I was sitting behind another kid on the floor waiting my turn to play the video game when my teacher got a phone call. When she hung up she turned on the tv and it was on the news and showed one of the towers burning. I was very confused and did not know what it was, i thought it was a factory with smoke emitting out of it. Afterwards I went to lunch and many parents were picking up their kids early. I was one of the last kids to be picked up since my mom and sister in law picked up my step niece and nephew first. I didn’t know what had really happened until I got home and it was explained to me by my family. I watched the news with my mom all day that day and for days after about what happened. I don’t think I understand the full scale of the tragedy until I got older. The thing that stayed with me about that day was a poor man that survived the attack and got out but he was clearly in shock and described with his eyes wide about how he saw bodies falling.
