I don’t remember coming home that day as I was 7 but a image forever burned into my mind is the sight of my mom with her 90s house phone being stretched around the door about to snap screaming at my uncle in Boston the tower collapsed as she watched sky news , he couldnt belive her . I was genuinely scared that day as seeing my mum upset frightened me too , I remember clearly saying “mum the second tower fell” as I watched in innocence and she said “no it’s only a replay” but then screamed “oh my god he’s right” down the phone again , haunts me to this day , I fell , my generation were cheated out of a childhood that people got in the 20th century , the fear and paranoia created affected us , the first generation of the western world in the 21st century !
