Hofstra University campus in Garden City, New York was bustling as usual. I had just taken a quiz in Italian class. In between classes, news spread quickly. I was told that people saw the smoke from the Library tower as I sat in my next class. Panic ensued, as some had loved ones that worked at the towers. One girl actually ran from her desk and out of the building when we found out the pentagon got hit. She left everything behind in the class. Until I arrived home, I had no access to a television. So my entire experience was from word of mouth and car stereo. When I finally arrived home, the towers were down. God Bless everyone affected by this tragedy.
