It was just another school day. I remember I was sitting at school in my first period Spanish class. Our teacher stepped out for a moment to go run off some copies of a quiz. When she came back in she hurried over and turned on the t.v. and said,”The Twin Towers are on fire!” We all immediately stopped what we were doing and tuned in to the television. At the time we didn’t know it was a plane that hit. We were watching as the second plane hit the other tower and everyone gasped. The news reporters were saying it was terrorism. When we went to second period, our English teacher let us watch the t.v. too. We were hearing that the Pentagon was hit and that another plane was down in Pennsylvania. I clearly remember being scared. Nobody was sure exactly what was going on but we knew it was bad. I kept thinking of all the children who lost mothers and fathers in the attacks and building collapses. I wanted to cry actually. I just wanted to go home and be with my family more than ever.
