On the routine hour long drive to work, I saw a plane that was unusually close to the ground and flying somewhat erratically crossing over the expressway.

When I saw that plane heading in a southern direction, my 1st thought was that it might be landing at the airport a city away and to the south. Then my mind pictured a landing on the x-way, the kind of emergency landings that they show in the movies. Then I thought that wouldn’t be very good because there are a lot of light poles and buildings in the area. Then, my mind just kind of wandered to another subject.

On the radio at work, there was a news broadcast regarding the WTC. I really didn’t want to hear it because I really didn’t want to believe it. I went to my desk and signed on to Yahoo. There, I found pictures of the second plane crashing into the tower.

The fact that I saw the plane that went down in PA didn’t really surface in my mind until a couple days later. Like the rest of the world, I was in shock.

I will never forget the sequence of events of the day. I even remember what I wore that day! They are etched in my mind forever.
