Sept. 11, 2001 started as any other day at the end of your vacation. I called and confirmed my departure and finished my last minute packing. I barely hung up the phone from reconfirming with TWA, when the first plane struck the TWIN TOWERS. I was watching the New York news and stopped everything and watched in horror as our lives as Americans changed forever. I am employed as a travel agent. Amazing, I still have my job (barely). The Airlines took our tax dollars in the 15billion bailout and continued their crusade to anihilate the travel agent, just as the terrorists destroyed thousands of peoples lives. I refuse to be intimidated by terrorists, they cannot take my freedom unless I allow it. I will continue to travel by air, but I will do it more aware, not afraid. If we as Americans stand strong, and hang on to our beliefs and our freedoms, we will prevail. Our Nation was built on trust in God and our fellow man. This has not changed, and we cannot allow it to change. I spent 6 days watching the search and rescue. I will never forget all that was lost.
