On this day, i had just got home from school and my mum and my brother walked in, she told me to put one of the american news channels on so i switched on CNBC, she told me that the world trade centre in new york had been hit by a plane. we just sat there and watched, my mum was shaking her head. We saw live pictures of the tower collapsing and all of the smoke and people running away.

i remember that during the rest of that week, there was a newsround broadcast about a girl who waa trying to find her dad wo was supposed to have been in the building, it was so hard for her to find her dad as no one knew anything and everyone was so worried.

now, all i can really remeber is what i just wrote, and i also remember seeing the picture of the fireman who won an award over here in the UK. i think you know the picture, the one where there are loads of people runnng down the stairs in the WTC but he is looking up the stairs at the camera.
