I was at work at 1411 broadway on the 29th floor. Only right around the corner from me was a view of the twin towers. I heard on the radio that a plane hit them, but i thought it must have just hit the antenna or something; what a shock i was in for! a few minutes later i went to the other side of the building and watched this fire fastly burning down the side: nobody thought anyone was still in either of the towers. after about 10 mintutes we watched the plane hit the other and after it fell the fire alarm went off and a voice came on telling us to evacuate the building.

Reality did not set in until that friday; wedensday the city was closed and thursday there was a bomb scare that forced us home again. Friday all the photos of people missing were posted all over the place. There was a smell in the air; and you just knew what it was…burning flesh. And the city was so quiet. There was one thing on everyone’s mind..disbelief! I shall never forget it.
