I was dreading Tuesday 9/11 all week because this was the day my fiance’ Chris had to go back to work, on a towboat on the Mississippi River for another long 28 days. That morning I called a friend to go along for the long drive (about 80 miles) to the city where Chris would load the boat.

I had just dropped him off and returned to the interstate, My friend and I decided to turn on the radio for the long boring ride home, only there was no music on the rasio only news, we kept flipping through the channels and finally just decided to wait and stay on one channel. Thay announced the one of the twin towers had just been hit by a plane we did not belive our ears.

We hurried home to see the devestation on TV. It was so horriable.

It is really amazing that I can recall small details about a day that was unlike any other day I had had before.
