I don’t remember how the teachers acted at school but I do remember all the older kids that usally who the bus driver yelled at were quiet and didn’t say anything the whole bus ride. When I got home my mom wasn’t on the porch to greet me like she usally did. So I walk in and my brother just went to his room and shut his door. My mom was talking to my dad on the phone and crying and watching some what I thought was a movie on tv. She didn’t even notice me come in, I stood by her and tried watching the tv to see what was going on and she quickly told me I should go play. I remeber going out on my pourch to have a tea party and seeing all my neighbors putting flags out and I saw all down the street each way nothing but american flags. The flags were almost glowing in the sun light. So I had a tea party on the pourch waiting for my dad to come home but he didn’t come home till really late that day, I didnt know then but my dad went and worked in Detroit that day in the GM tower that day. So they thought that was a target for a plane so he got evauated. I feel blessed I have my dad cause it could of easily been that building as well and I can’t even imagine. Anyways now im 20 and I will never forget like tons of others where I was that day. I’ve always been in a knowlage that there are people that hate us for just for being american so much they would kill moms and dads and uncles and aunts and grandpas and grandmas and friends and so on and so forth. (this is what my mom told me when I was a bit older and asked her why would people would do that. It stuck with me). I will never understand more then I did when I was in frist grade really, its still that feeling I had looking at that tv not understanding. Remember to Love each other Love is greater then hate. Thanks for reading my story. God Bless <3
