My name is Jessica and I was going to a rehab program for people with mental illness in Cedar Knolls, NJ. It’s a partial day program in that teaches those with mental illness job skills, so that they can fuction in society. on that day I was living in a group home with four other women(I am currently residing with my parents in Morristown, NJ) in Denville, NJ. Just like another beautiful early September morning I took the van that was provided by the day program to go to Cedar Knolls. IN the morning we have a little meeting before the day program starts where we discuss things that were happening in the day programas well as other things. On that day Someone in the room brought up that a plane had just flew into one of the towers in NYC. We all couldn’t believe it!! In one one of the smaller rooms was a tv that we normally use to view vhs cassettes (this was before dvd’s were as prevelent as they are today.) One of the people that were in charge in charge just so happened to have a set of “rabbit ears” for on top of the tv. I think we watched WNYW( the New York Fox tv station). I couldn’t believe what was happening. It was so upsetting. I was in total disbelief as to what was happening. The people in charge of the program sent everyone home early because of what happened that day. Back at the residence we continued watching what was happening. That was where I was on 9.11.2001
