I remember it like it was yesterday. I felt sick to my stomach, so I lethergically walked downstairs to find my Mom on the found, scrambling towards the TV. It was still more or less dark, and my vision was blurred, so I took a seat at the counter, leaning over it dully. The TV flickered to life and (I was only in 4th grade) was about to ask her to turn it to Spongebob. Soon I was anxious as she dropped the phone, and a *beep* indicated that she had hit the end button. Onscreen, a building was aflame. I was in shock, wandering what was happening. Just then, a dot appeared in the corner of the screen and slammed into the other tower, causing a huge fireball. I stared in horror before my mom turned it off and looked away. I could not make out the words they had said, all but a few;
“Terrorist attack” and “World Trade Center”.
I had no idea how important what I had just seen was.
