On September 11, 2001 I was in the second grade in school. I remember class going normal and everything being good. All of a sudden the noise for the intercom started going off meaning there was about to be an announcement which was weird because all the announcements are usually said following the pledge. The principal started to speak and when she started talking it was about the towers that were crashed into by terrorists flying planes into them. After that announcement everybody just pretty much looked blank because after all we were in second in grade and we were all like did that just really happen. Many kids had questions for the teacher as if she knew the answer to why it happened although she was in the classroom with us when it occurred kids still thought she would have an answer. Not too long after the announcement the school ended up having half of a day and we were let out early at around noon. I remember walking home and everyone just seemed so dull and lifeless, scared to know what will happen next or if the Sears Tower would be next. I remember turning on the T.V. and every single channel had something about the towers going down.
