I was attending the University of South Carolina on 9/11/01 and had just got done with my first round of classes. I never go back to my dorm and turn on the t.v., but for some reason that day, I did. My roommate and I watched helplessly as the second plane crashed into WTC and it felt like a movie. These are things that you don’t think will ever happen in real life, yet it unfolded right before my eyes. I’ll never forget that day or what i did, and all of it is still buried in my mind as it will be until the day i leave this earth. Since 9/11, We have come together as a nation, yet it took an horrific tragedy to do that. I, like many other college students around the country, will be in class next week when the anniversary comes around and will be affected still even after a year later. My heart still goes out to the families of those that were lost and I hope that one year later there will be some closure.
