I was working that day at Mayo Clinic in the GI Diagnostic area. We were doing the procedures as normal when one of the doctors watching TV in the breakroom ran out to tell us in the proceedure rooms that America was under attack. We all gathered under the TV to watch as the 2nd plane hit the towers. Our mouths dropped open and no one said a word. We started to wonder if Mayo could be next. Work went on, we had patients to see too. I remember going on my dinner break tht day and looking the at clear blue skies over us in Minnesota that day and crying over what was taking place so far away f rom us. I had just lost my mother a few short months prior and felt an amazing new grief overtaking me. My thoughts and prayers still go out to everyone who lost someone that day. I pray we will all be healed.
