My wife and I traveled to BWI on Sept. the 9th to see the doctor that rebuilt my right leg. My right leg below my knee was partially amputated by a 10,000 lb piece of freight. Leg was left hanging on by the nerve and artery with a 6in bone loss. Doctor grew my leg back for inches so I could walk again. I was in BWI for a medical conferance my doctor was having on leg length discrepency. On the 10th doc had me on stage teaching other doctors from around the world the procedure used to grow my tibia back 4 inches. On the 11th of Sept. my wife and I were back at the BWI airport boarding the plane when the 2nd plane hit. We made our way back to our hotel. I can remember sitting by the t.v. listening to the events unfolding and crying for the loss of life that day. Today I have to attend therapy. I am learning how to walk again. But my mind, heart, thoughts go out to everyone dealing with this horrible event a year later.. May God bless us all…..
