Lived in NY on 9.11.01?: No
Knew someone who perished?: No

I recall being in my classroom with a group of 7th graders and the loudspeaker came on telling us to turn the televisions on in our rooms. I recall looking at the TV and starting to cry and the students asked me why I was crying. I told them that alot of people have died a few minutes ago. The one student began to laugh as if it were a joke.
And they didnt understand either.
I explained that it was no joke. The chaos came when parents began coming to get their students and nobody was allowed to take their children home. I realized that we were under attack and nobody knew what would happen next. It was a scare that I had that can never be recalled or felt in the same way.
Although I knew nobody in the towers or the other crash sites, I felt as though I knew every one of those people. A senseless waste of life. I can only imagine what those people in New York felt like and can realize the pain they felt.
God Bless every one of them. Although my story may not be one that everyone would remember, I will.
