I was in the car on my way to pick up my sister from her morning ice-skating session. It’s a long drive so I turned on the radio for some entertainment. They were playing my favorite song, and when it was over, they announced….Oh my god, a plan has just crashed into the South tower of the World Trade Center. My mom and I were to glued on the story to say anything. I few moments later, they said that another airplane crashed into the North tower of the World Trade Center. At that moment, my mom and I thought it was joke, nothing that terrible could actually happen. But when we flipped through all the channels they kept replaying the sounds of the plane’s crashing into the buildings and people screaming through the streets. We stayed tuned incase the story had any updates.

When I got to school my friend, Megan, was crying. I went up to comfort her and ask what was wrong. She said her grandma worked at the World Trade Center. We hugged for a long time. I had 2nd hour with her so I stayed by her side and helped her through it. My science teacher Mr. Wiley had turned the radio on for updates. The room was silent as the radio announced that the 2 World Trade Towers had collapsed. By then Megan was in tears. My friends and I formed a circle of 5 or so students, and just prayed for Megan, and any other families that lost their loved ones.
