On 9/11 I arrive to work extra early (8am). I said good bye to my fiancee and I looked around and saw how nice that day had been. I work 3 blocks away from where the World Trade Center use to stand. At about 8:30 I was chatting with my co-worker and suddenly the lights flickered a little. We did not pay much mind to it. Then abou 2 minutes later my supervisor came in and said that her elevator had gotten stuck and that she her something bang.

We all decided to go to the window. From the window we could only see lots of blood and alot of black car. Then we saw the FBI come out of the black cars. We tought that there was a big accident outside. No one had been paying attention to the radio. I went to the lobby window and looked down (from the 8th floor)again and this time I saw I the front window of a creamish car broken. There was lots of traffic. I pressed my head against the window and I saw a person laying on the highway. as this person became more clear to me I was able to see thar it was a men and he was missing his legs……I then looked down towards the WTC and saw his body parts. We then heard over the radio that the WTC had been attacked. We didn’t evacuate until the second airplane hit the WTC. The whole floor shook and we then evacuated. Once outisde I saw the Towers for one last time, as if they were saying goodbye. All i could think was the fireman wil turn it off and we will be back to work tomorrow. As i walked to the train station I saw a lot of shoes, and luggages.

When I arrived to my fiancee’s job I saw the first tower collapse. My Fiancee was right there watching the TV and wondering where I was, then he saw me and gave me one of the most biggest hugs ever. My office was relocated for the next 3 months. Today 9/10 I still work 3 blocks from ground zero and everyday is hard to see that big whole. It has been a hard year. But we will overcome this because we are united more then ever.
