My name is Greg Gittins and twelve years ago today I was driving to work just like usual. I was listening to the radio and all of a sudden the music changed from happy cheerful music to someone talking about what had just happened in our own country. They said that a plane had just crashed into one of the World Trade Center Buildings. I thought it was just an accident. I called my wife Rose and told her what had happened and that she should turn on thre T.V.
My wife turned on the news and my daughter Andria was laying on the couch because she had just surgery. She was only four so it scared her. My other daughter Rachel was two and when she saw the explosion of the second tower she yelled, Fireworks!” And my wife said to herself,”Those are not fireworks and that was definatly not an accident. I still went to work and they had all the radios in while I did my painting.
I think that the terrorist attack was good in someways. It helped the security systems on airplanes. Everybody checks people better before they get on airplanes. 9/11 was one of the scariest days of my life.
