I attend a private school in waterford and i am 16. during that september day we attended mass as usual. during the ourfather we were interupted by the school secratary. the father imediately started to cry. we were asked to be seated.I remember trying to avoid seating next to a sertin girl who i really didnt care to much for. Then the annoucment was made, America had underwent a terrorist attack. the details were unimportint,when we were informed of the extent i imediatelt started to cry. the first peson that came to my side ws the girl who i tried to avoid! We sat in the pew holding eachother. At the mid point of the day i started to feel even more upset rmembering the death of my own mother who i had jsut lost a year ago. when the one year annaversary came up i felt foolish and very imatuer for the first time i actually prayed to god for comfort and for the world. i feel like i have not only lost my own mom and a nation but gained a friend and a whole new out look on life, its just too bad that it took something like this for me to react! now i pray the rosary everynight!
