Lived in NY on 9.11.01?: No
Knew someone who perished?: No

When 9/11 happened, I was saying goodbye to my inlaws that spent the last three days at our house. With my 5 month old baby playing in the living room. I was a stay at home mom so I didnt go to work. Then my sister-inlaw called and said panic-like,”Turn on the news!” So I turned it on the see the World Trade Center on fire with a hole in the side of it. At first I thought that it was an accident. Then I found that it wasn’t when the second plane hit. I was scared. Scared for me, scared for my daughter, scared for us. I made my husband come home so we could all be together. We spent the rest of the day sitting on the couch, glued to the T.V. to see what else would happen. And for the Muslims, I never did think much of them. Until now. But I think that 9/11 was also a good thing, because of it my famliy became more important too me.
