It was about 10:32am and my cell phone rang. I was extremely irritated because I work very late hours and I had just fallen asleep about 5 hours before then. I answered the phone and it was my sister, calling from work. She told me that the towers and Pentagon were hit and the towers collapsed. I didn’t really know what she was talking about, so I said thanks for letting me know and I hung up and went back to sleep, or atleast tried to. There was something nagging me to go turn on the television. So I did and I saw the most devestating images on tv. I woke my boyfriend up, and like me he was groggy and didn’t understand what I was saying. As soon as he woke up we were glued to that television like millions of Americans not only that day but for weeks to come. Although I didn’t know anyone personally who perished, my fellow Americans perished. My heart breaks everytime I see images or documentaries. I will never forget that day and the impact it had on me.
