9/11 started out like any other day, beautiful sunshine, gorgeous 80 degree weather. I was sitting at my desk, when I heard that two planes had hit the WTC. At first I thought these were small aircraft, turboprops, etc. and it was an accident. I found the closest TV I could find and I saw the collision of the second plane. I’ve never felt so sick to my stomach and so afraid in my life. To know that hundreds of people just perished in a blink of an eye, was unreal. I turned on the radio to listen to the news coverage, when I heard that a third hijacked plane crashed into the Pentagon. At this point I realized that we were under attack. Moments later I heard about the crash of Flt. 93 in PA, and I thought that it would be raining airplanes any minute where I was. I’ve never felt so scared, and helpless in my life. I called all my love ones around the country to make sure they were ok, to make sure they were safe. I learned later that day that family aquaintences of mine were on Flt. 11 hijacked from Boston. Sept. 12 was very eerie, not seeing a single aircraft in the sky except for the patrol of F-16’s from Otis ANG Base in Cape Cod, MA. I seems very dreamlike to think this would happen, but it has, and we will never forget, and we will not rest until the people responsible are brought to justice, dead or alive.
