On 9-11-2002, I got up at 6:30 AM (central time) to get ready to go to school. When I first heard about it,I was in my 2nd hour class, music. One of my classmates was still at home, watching TV, when it happened. In music, my teacher, Mr.Lamb, was drawing on the white wipe-off board. He explained what had happened to the USA about 20 min. after the first plane hit. He said,”Imagine the World Trade Centers in New York. Now imagine two airliners crashing into them, causing them to number one: kill everyone in the planes ,and number two: killing everyone around where the plane hit killed.” At that point, nobody knew that they were going to fall down. But then he said” That is what happened this morning, September 11th, 2001. The Twin Towers have been crashed into by two airliners.” Then Sterling started talking about how he just saw it on tv. I remember shaking and then saying” I don’t want to go to war. I’m to young to die. I don’t want to get bombed or anything like that.” then we (as a class) went into our library to watch it on tv. I just broke down because right when we sat down, the first tower fell down and then the second. I was crying really hard, as well as everyoneelse in my class. Then after school, all of the teachers had to rush to the gas station toget the gas that went as high as seven dollars a gallon, which wohever soldthe gas for that much was fined $1,000 per person served. It was the worst day that year that will stay in the minds of people forever.
