Knew someone who perished?: No

I came back from class at 9 30am that day. That day, I had a cigarette behind my apartment complex and some random medical students were talking about what had just happened. I overheard and I asked them whats going on. They told me that the WTC had just been destroyed. I didn’t know what to think. I was seriously frozen. I’m from Bronx, NY, and a few of my close freinds attend to Pace University (which is next to the WTC). AFter hearing what had happened, I ran into my apartment and turned on the tv. I couldn’t believe it. I thought i was watching a movie. It seemed SO fake. I was in complete denial. I woke up my girlfreind and she was in complete shock as well. We tried to call home (from michigan to NY), but no calls were going through. We were worried sick about our freinds and family. Anyway, classses were obviously cancelled that day, but what pissed me off was that there were students (mainly from Michigan) who did not think it was worth having classes cancelled for… Wouldn’t that make you want to slap them? My life has changed since that day. Justice shall prevail..
