Lived in NY on 9.11.01?: No
Knew someone who perished?: No

I remember waking up that Tuesday morning, I was in 4th grade at the time. That particular day, I was preparing a journal assignment for English class, explaining my plans for an overnight camping I was to embark on the following weekend.
As I was getting ready for school, both my parents called me in to the livingroom. They explained the tragedy, my thoughts at the time were what was on the lunch menu, and who cares since it didn’t impact me personally at the time. For the duration of the week, I could not understand why all the adults at school and my family were so angry and on edge.
Over the last 15 years, my emotions have completely changed as well as my thoughts. As I walk through the airport every time, I realize there is so much more screening and they are way more strict than beforE due to this tragedy. As for the families impacted, I send my condolences And every year on 9/11 I make time to watch the rememberance ceremony and say a prayer. I can’t help but tear up every time I see the families remembering their loved ones and friends.
Bless everyone and let’s reunite as a country! #USA
