It was about 9:00am and I was just about to leave my Science class. I had stopped at my locker to pick up my books for English class and made my way up to the room. Once I got in the room and took my seat, my teacher walked in with a tv and said to watch the news. So she turned on the tv and changed the channel to CNN, by the time she turned it there both of the towers had been hit. I watched and didn’t believe it at first, then once the first tower collapsed I told myself that this was really happening.

All throughout the day in my classes, we either watched the news or talked about it in class. After 6th period, one of my best friends walked up to me and said his uncle had died in the North Tower. I didn’t know what to think of it, I didn’t know if my family had been all right or not. But once I got home I watched the news until about 6:00pm, then my mom got home and asked me if I knew what happened.

And even a year after 9/11, I can still remember how I felt after I saw both of the towers collapse. I can still remember seeing the looks on other students faces, I still remember how patriotic America really is. But this is my story, thank-you for reading it.
