It was a normal day in the begining, I was getting ready for school,as usual.

I had waited for September 11,2001 for days. 9/11 was the day my newborn nephew would come home from the hospital. He was born 6 weeks early and weighed 5 lbs. 4 ounces. His lungs weren’t fully developed because he had a twin brother who weighed 4 lbs. 9 ounces. The twin couldn’t come home yet because he wasn’t well enough yet to come home. This would be the first time I would ever meet Alex. I went to school and when 3rd period strolled around, I had been hit with some sad news. The teachers were called out to the hallway where the principal would tell them the news. My teacher, Mrs.Wagenmaker, told us that the World Trade Centers and the Pentagon had been hit by planes and another plane had crashed somewhere in Pennsylvania. I walked to lunch. After lunch, I went to my fourth period class. The teacher had her television on to abc, where she would let us watch. After school I had basketball practice and my friends mom picked my friend and I up. We listened to the news. Katie, (my friend) said what are they talking about? We told her the news and she couldn’t believe it. I went home and watched the news all night. At the bottom of the screen was a list of malls, meetings, and schools that were closed on Wednesday. I couldn’t sleep that night. It was the one day I will remember my whole life.
